I haven’t yet used them, as my baby’s not yet here, but these feel like they’re going to be wonderfully soft and absorbent. They’ve got a super-soft fleece side, and a side that’s more textured, which I imagine will work well for “messier” changes.
However, they look considerably different from the picture. They are white on one side, and pastel colored on the other. Still pretty, but not as bright as I had hoped. You also receive a mixed lot – not necessarily 6 different colors. I got three packs, and one pack has several greens, and only one of the packs has a yellow. Not the end of the world, but, again, not as advertised.
These are my favorite wipes I own. I have flannel and bamboo but when I have a messy job I reach for these to get the job done. Each side has a purpose for me, the terry cloth side to rub the bottom if anything is stuck and the softer side for just a wet diaper or if there’s a rash. Super handy to have and so thankful I got them as a gift. The down side, if there was one, would be that you can’t get as many of these in the Lionheart wipe warmer as you can the flannel or bamboo wipes. I’d recommend having around 18 wipes on hand, I say that because when I was trying to decide how many I should have, I would read the reviews and not too many people suggest how many to buy.
I know this seems like a lot for wipes, and, of course, if you are working on saving money and being thrifty, these probably aren’t the way to go, but we like them a lot and they were worth the little bit extra they cost. The colors are nice, but the main thing is that they are very soft, but work well for both messy diapers and wet diapers. Along with the bum genius bamboo wipes, these are our favorite. They are two ply and can double just as well for wash cloths.
I have two packs of these (the colors vary-some are bright; some are more pastel) and I love them. Far more effective than flannel wipes – and so much cushier! They are also nice and soft – far superior to any baby wash cloth I have seen. The only problem is that my son loves how soft they are so much that he sometimes tries to grab dirty ones (as I am cleaning him up) to snuggle with. I just have to be fast in remembering to hand him a clean one. These are always the first to get used from my wipes stack, and if I had to buy everything new wouldn’t bother with any others. I use them with Mustela PhysiObebe No-Rinse Cleansing Fluid
I don’t use these as wipes, but they’re great for wash cloths. Way better than any of the cheap terry ones marketed for babies. For wipes I use a combination of kushies flannel wipes and bum genius wipes. While not as soft, they are more utilitarian and get the job done.
