These daipers kind of scare me. I am slightly scared to put them on my nephew, and he isn’t actually big enough yet to wear them, so I haevn’t. I will merely (for now), be reviewing the look and texture of the daiper (will update when he can wear them).

The daipers are very long. They have a paper feel to them unlike most normal daiper brands. From the looks of them, they don’t seem like they would hold more than an ounce of water, but I could be wrong. They just do not appear to be very absorbant. The design is cute enough on them, but honestly, I love Sesame Street and Winnie the Pooh, so how am I to judge? They also smell kind of funny, in fact they smell just like normal daipers that don’t smell like baby powder. I love the perfumed daipers so I am not a very good judge. I can’t stand unscented daipers. . .

Overall though, they may just work as long as you are willing to check the daiper frequently while it is on your baby. I am crossing my fingers. . .

PS: I wonder if the fact that they’re white says whether or not they are chlorine free?

I got these for my Daughter before she had her baby.
Now the baby is 4 1/2 months old, is over 17 lbs, and she said
the diapers are great, but run a bit larger then other diapers of this
size!
Great there environmentally safer. Baby has NOT had a rash with these diapers, and
they do not leak. .

Everyone should try to do their part to reduce their environmental footprint as much as possible. Diapers – both laundered and disposable offer undesirable options. One could potentially last decades in a land-fill while the water and chemicals needed for laundering make cloth diapers (equally?) unfriendly.

We had hopes that Natural Choice Environmentally Sensitive Diapers may solve all of the problems. Unfortunately, while they may be a “Green’ product they are thin, scratchy and not as absorbent as Pampers. Is it worth the trade-off – I will leave that question to you. Natural Choice is a more expensive, less comfortable and less effective diaper than traditional Pampers or Huggies, but they are more earth friendly.

We’ve only ever used “regular” (ie. Huggies/Pampers) diapers with our baby, but thought we’d try these out for comparison on our 15 month old (24 lb. , 31″). Our of the package they are much more “papery” and stiff than regular diapers, with a much more defined fold. As a result, they don’t seem to contour to our baby’s body very well compared to the ones we’ve been using. They’re also slightly more of a pain to get open and ready to use, which isn’t a big deal unless you’re trying to deal with a squirming/screaming baby in an unfamiliar place, like a restroom changing table. Then, those two or three extra seconds to unfold the velcro tabs seems like an eternity. As I said, the fit doesn’t seem that great, but that may depend on your baby (ours is long and lanky with a pot belly), and we noticed they chafe her back a bit, which has never happened with any other kind. In terms of performance, they seem fine, we’ve had no problems with leaks or overnighting (11 hours or so) in three weeks of use. On the whole, they’re OK, but I think we’ll stick with our regular name brand diapers for now.

These might be environmentally friendly, but that’s the only thing they have to recommend them. We tried one diaper on my daughter and two hours later it was soaked through to her pants. Either they leak (they’re somewhat oddly shaped) or they’re not very absorbent — or both.

Cannot recommend these diapers. Back to Pampers for us.
