Our son is allergic to many things. . . including a lot of diaper creams. But Earth's Best has the best stuff out there and doesn't irritate our little one. Amazon usually has the best price out there - so I always check here first.

This is not a perfect product. My 2 year old daughter looked whiter than a ghost in a snow storm. It is also a bit thick.

However,

There are very few alternatives to the chemical laiden toddler/baby sunscreens out there. Whatever I put on her skin is absorbed into her body. I wanted something like this to protect from the sun and from these dangerous chemicals. Based on the research I did, Jason's was a fair price and has been effective in preventing burns (it did need to be reapplied after a few hours of play or less for swimming). I recommend that anyone interested in finding alternatives to the typical products companies produce and the FDA passes without much concern for our children to check out cosmeticdatabase. com. It gives ratings for many products based on the toxicity of their ingredients (0 is the least dangerous, 10 is the worst). We have used this site to choose our families sunsreen, shampoo, deoderant, make-up, diaper rash cream, lotions, toothpaste, etc. It's unfortunate, but nevertheless the case that we need to look out for ourselves because nobody else is.
