Throwing a baby shower for someone is a great experience. Not only are you taking a hand in bringing this person’s close personal friends and family together to share in the celebration of a new life being brought upon the world, but you also get to show the person, personally, that you care about them and their soon to be new bundle of joy. Everyone buys a raffle for a dollar, or other designated amount, and the winner wins a prize. The prize can be anything from a wine gift basket, to gift certificates to a fancy restaurant, or anything else that seems worthy of the amount of money collected, and the proceeds of the raffle all go to the mother to be to help raise the baby.
