I am a big fan of the natural baby company and my Grobaby diapers. They are the only diaper that could convince me to go cloth. That being said I have never understood this type of product that is half dispoable, half cloth. I tried it out in a free sample because I thought it would be a nice alternative to disposables when out and about. I found that really I would rather go with disposables or just stick with my cloth and a wetbag even when out. Grobabies are so easy i think these make them more difficult. I always seem to get a sticky residue on my diapers afterwards, they are nowhere near as absorbent as the grobaby inserts, and they are harder to dispose of then a regular disposable diaper. Compared to other diapers of this sort ( disposable liners with reusable shells) they are a great product. But I think I am just not the right person for the overall concept, I would rather use my cloth.

We use the Gro Baby Bio Soakers when we travel. Unfortunately, when we travel we often don’t stay at a place with a washer or dryer, which makes it difficult to use our Gro Baby inserts. These Bio Soakers are perfect for us. They allow us to still use our Gro Baby shells (yippee! no blow outs!) when we are overseas. The boxes of Bio Soakers are no bigger than a box of disposable diapers, they absorb wonderfully, and they are trim on our daughter. The only “cons” I can think of is their price–they are slightly more expensive than disposables and the sticky tab leaves residue on the shells. I’ve heard that the Natural Baby Company is remedying the sticky tab problem and a new version will be out in February! Thanks for listening to your customer feedback Natural Baby Company!

I love the gro baby bio soakers! I have used both size 1 and size 2. I took the bio soakers with us on a 10 day trip to Disney World, and they worked fantastic! No leaks, no issues over night, and when I couldn’t always change them every couple hours, they held up! I opted to not stick them to the gro baby cover beacuse the adhesive tended to stick and peel off on to the cover. As long as you ensured the insert was spread out so the leg gussets were outside the cover, I never had a problem. Thanks Gro Baby!

I love grobaby diapers. . . . while traveling this holiday season i tried out the biodegradable inserts & was impressed by the absorbency, but not too thrilled by the sticky left behind on my shells. . . . any ideas on how to prevent this? will the new ones coming out in january 2010 be less sticky. . . or at least leave no residue? i will be a convert from gdiapers to grobaby in a heartbeat if so!!! grobaby please hear me—-de-stick those inserts & i’m all yours. your colors, waterproof shells, & cuteness are too hard to resist!

I use cloth diapers 100% of the time on my 17-month-old daughter, but I received a box of these disposable inserts for my GroBaby shells and had to try them out. I love that they have much less SAP gel, they are biodegradable and compostable, and they have not caused any irritation on my daughter’s sensitive skin. We put these to the test during the day and at night. I was impressed that the insert held a lot overnight, yet the shell beneath the insert remained dry. I also love the fact that these are so compact. They are a wonderful alternative to regular disposable diapers, and perhaps a good option for those who are using disposables at night and having leakage problems. When used with the GroBaby shell, these inserts are leakproof!
