I ordered these diapers when I was pregnant since I wanted to be as organic and good to the enviroment as possible. When I first used them our son did a poopy right away in the diapers and the poop leaked out all over the diaper. It was pretty messy and I decided in all my newborn eshaustion and recouping from a very difficult birth to not continue using them. I probably would have given them another chance if I was feeling better but just couldn’t at the time. If you dont mind a bit of mess I would try them for the enviroment!

The gDiaper system has really exceeded my expectations. We felt there was a slight learning curve. I viewed the tutorial pages on the company’s website and also the You Tube video about managing out and about. Now, I have total confidence in using them–including at night when we use a double liner for our heavy wetter and have experienced NO LEAKS after 12 hours. I was actually anticipating dealing with some leaks. . . So, I have been highly impressed. Our daughter is exclusively breastfed. Her bm’s sometimes leak outside of the liner of the pants but have only once leaked beyond the little g covers. That was after I had not caught on to the situation for awhile. I am generally very critical as a product reviewer and rarely give anything top marks. These liners and the pants for the g system get rave reviews from me! We are composting the wet only liners and flushing the messy ones. Our waste bin has been seriously reduced and no longer smells. We sometimes use cloth inserts at home. I love the flexibility the system provides. Most of all I love the inserts though. . . NO GUILT. Disposable diapers should be outlawed now that there is such a better option for children, their families, and our planet. I am absolutely not looking back since we have switched over. These have worked GREAT for us. Even at night? Again, yes, and I can hardly believe it so I must tell someone. Actually, I feel compelled to tell a lot of someones because I have been so impressed. BRILLIANT PRODUCT. Thanks, gDiapers!

I love the idea of these being compostable, but ours aren’t really breaking down. They are flushable, just make sure you tear it open and that you stir it up good. I missed those instructions the first couple of times.

The hubby and I were very gung-ho about using cloth diapers.
I even bought us a set of 24 cloth diapers.
You REALLY have to want to use cloth to diaper that way.
We agreed we’d give g-diapers a try since our main concern was being nicer to the environment.
G-diapers are great and easy to use and I feel good about using them.

Just to clarify, this is for the refills, not the entire gDiaper system, which I have tried and didn’t work so well for my breast-fed baby. But we use the gDiaper refills as a doubler for overnight or instead of cloth when we’re on the go (rather than disposable diapers) and they are pretty great! And now that my daughter is on solid food, the messes are much more manageable, so maybe the gDiaper system would work better now. These absorb pee well and don’t give her a rash as opposed to disposables. They cost more but are better all around- flushable with or without poo, and if it’s just pee, you can toss them without feeling bad (I do this often because our toilets clog at the drop of a hat). Because we don’t use these exclusively, I don’t notice the cost as much- if gDiapers wanted to advertise, these work great as doublers on the go for those using cloth diapers, or maybe even in disposables, for those who don’t want to commit to the entire gDiaper world.
