i recently found out about these and ordered one to try out, i now have 6. I do just fine by hand washing, although I am a stay at home mommy so for those of you who wont have the time to wash every day, i would recommend getting a little more of them. When all of my fuzzi bunz came, they all had an insert that was smaller than the LARGE insert, just like one of the reviewers already said, but I think that is amazon and not fuzzi bunz.
These are worth the investment, especially if you are planning for a second! I feel so much better about my carbon foot-print, and they are sooo soft. You do have to change them more often than the disposable diapers, but that is no problem. I love this product!!! and the colors they come in are sooo cute! I have all of the bright colored ones for my boy. I just wish they made a 6 or 12 pack with all of the bright colors-unisex for a better deal.
I have used another kind of cloth diaper but these are superior. Don’t order any where else though- I had such a hassle when I used the official fuzzibunz site.
I can’t think of anything I would change about these diapers. The insert is easy to stuff in the back and shake out for washings, the fleece lining is super wicking–no diaper rashes on my son yet–and the snaps make a good fit easy to achieve. The outer lining is amazingly wet resistant; maybe two times (after a marathon nap) did urine leach out of the legs onto my son’s clothes, otherwise it stays dry, regardless of what you find inside!
We have six now and use them each day, with disposables at night and for traveling, meaning we now go through one pack of diapers every two weeks, instead of two packs each week. I definitely plan on getting more so we can do a load of wash every other day instead of each night. Great product!
My daughter has been using these diapers for about 8 months now, and I am fairly happy with them, but I have not tried any other cloth diapers so cannot compare them to others.
The baby certainly needs to wear a larger size in clothing due to their bulkiness.
My 11 month old sleeps 12 hours at night, and I put her in a disposable at night, as these cloth diapers were giving her diaper rash. She got pretty severe diaper rash , and I had to go back to using disposables for a while. I was using special diaper rash cream for cloth diapers, but it was pretty useless.
I did try hemp inserts, but they were really bulky, and bunched up, and she would be soaking wet in the morning.
The regular microterry inserts , doubled up, worked way better than hemp for overnight.
I ordered some new inserts from Fuzzi Bunz, and they were much thinner and narrower compared to the original ones I purchased.
For a while the diapers smelled really bad even after laundering until I started using Charlie’s soap.
Overall I like them as they really do save a lot of money .
I love these diapers. When I first started using cloth diapers I bought a pack of Kushies and one fuzzi bunz diaper. The fuzzi bunz are a lot more money so I wanted to try both. I quickly found out why they cost more. Simply put, they rock. No leaks, the mess is an easy clean up if you use the Kushies disposable liners. When there is poop, just flush the liner and it leaves a relatively clean diaper. There might be a little poop on the corner where the liner isn’t covering, but that is only with a softer stool.
The only complaint I could have is when I bought the first Fuzzi bunz diaper (it came with a liner that fit inside perfect). When I just recently purchased my last five Fuzzi bunz diapers from amazon (the liners are smaller, almost like they were made for a smaller fuzzi bunz diaper). They still work fine because I change very often. I have 11 diapers and I would like to have about 5 more so I can get away with washing every other day.
Also. . . side note. . . I don’t use these at night because I did it for one night and my son had a little diaper rash and he never has had any problems with diaper rash. So disposable at night and cloth during the day works great for me.
