The happy days and nights diapers are very absorbent. They work very well on big spills too. Use the subscribe and save and you’ll pay three dollars less. Overall, very economical and does what you want a diaper to do. :0)
The quality was there, but we still had leaks. To be fair we also had leaks with the Huggies Supremes which a lot of our friends swear by, so I’m sure it’s just a baby fit or parental application issue. The tabs do indicate where to tighten too, and though we tried it, we still had a couple of leaks. Maybe it was just bad timing and the diapers were extra full, but it looks like we’re going to go back to our Cruisers. I liked the idea of a quality economical diaper, and the day/night seemed like a good way to cut costs while keeping the long nights dry, but the design just didn’t fit our baby. But like I said they felt nice and a lot of people like them so I’m sure they’re still worth a try, especially if you’ve tried Cruisers and they aren’t working for you.
I have a 1. 5 year old nephew. I ordered these diapers for his use when he visits. After using them on several occasions, I can state the following as fact:
-The color markings on the diapers are helpful for people who are not changing the child daily, they help to show a good fit.
-The diapers do not leak
-The diapers are bulky
-The night time diapers work well and as intended, as do the daytime ones.
-The toddler who wore the diapers developed a red irritation/rash around the area where the seams/edges of the diapers came in contact with his legs. This rash was persistent whenever he wore this brand of diapers. It may just have been that he has been using the same brand and type of diapers since his birth, so changing to this new brand and type of diaper might have caused the irritation on his skin. Or it may be that he is allergic to something in the diaper, or the material used for the diaper is an irritant. I cannot say for certain, I am not a doctor.
Since I do not have conclusive evidence that the diapers cause a rash on the skin of all who wear them, I will rate the product with a 4/5 stars with a caveat that the rating should be dropped even lower if multiple people post reviews about rashes on their children as well.
I was prepared to not like these diapers. I have found that most diapers leak at night. Needless to say, I was AMAZED at how well these do for overnights! There was no leaking whatsoever.
Since my own child is potty trained, I tried these out on my cousin’s son. My cousin was at her wit’s end trying to find a nighttime diaper that did not leak. She is now a very happy mom with the Happy Days & Nights Diapers by Fisher Price. What a great idea, Fisher Price!
